Tanis Brako graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba in 2003 and a Masters in Business Administration from the Asper School of Business in 2019.  She is currently the Director of Sales, Marketing & Product Development at Manitoba Hydro.  Her previous roles included working as a designer and Applications Engineer at E.H. Price, then a gas pipeline and gas station design engineer, then a Manager in operations and maintenance of natural gas stations throughout Manitoba.  Outside of work she loves to spend time with her two children and family, especially at the cottage near Kenora.

Manitoba Hydro has significant engineering expertise in the areas of generation, transmission and distribution of electricity, and the distribution of natural gas. Expertise would include civil, electrical and mechanical engineering for planning, designing, constructing, operating, maintaining, project managing and contract administration of our activities and oversight of  the infrastructure. Manitoba Hydro also has extensive experience with regulations, compliance and licensing, including societal and environmental aspects.
