The Young Friends of Engineering are a unique group of Manitoba engineers (individuals) who share the University of Manitoba’s Price Faculty of Engineering’s commitment to excellence in engineering education.
Our Purpose
Established March, 2020 The Young Friends of Engineering are a unique group of Manitoba engineers who share the Price Faculty of Engineering’s commitment to excellence in engineering education. Our mission is to bring together Manitoba’s emerging engineers to be a strong, collective voice, supporting for the growth and health of the Price Faculty of Engineering at the University of Manitoba.
Our Pillars
- To increase communication and networking opportunities within the Manitoba engineering community to improve retention within industry.
- To support Friends of Engineering in bridging the gap between Manitoban engineering education and industry practice.
- To enrich the education experience at the Price Faculty of Engineering through supporting student technical societies.

Young Friends membership dues are $300 annually + GST (5%).
Young Friends of Engineering members should contact friendsofengineering@umanitoba.ca prior to purchasing a membership if they wish to receive a tax receipt.
